Replacing the Fuel pump, in your Jeep TJ Wrangler really isn’t that hard, it’s just kind of a pain in the ass removing those clips. The Canadian Winters tend to make plastic brittle and removing the fuel line clips was not a good experience as they ended up breaking and I had to hunt around to find new ones. You will need a strap wrench to remove the fuel pump retainer nut. When removing the fuel tank you’ll need to lower the tank slowly and disconnect things on the way and check to make sure the fuel neck isn’t catching on anything.
If your wondering what symptoms a bad fuel pump they are surging, and stalling out. most times the fuel pump will just die and you be stuck somewhere. sometimes if your lucky it will start after 1/2 hour or so but most times its dead in the water.
